For families looking for a vehicle possessing three rows of seats and strong towing capability, the 2012 Dodge Durango SUV continues to deserve the strong consideration that its previous model years did.
However, reviewers are finding that the newest Durango SUV does have a few flaws. Its 5.7-liter V-8 engine provides only a modest increase in power over the standard 3.6-liter V-6 that some reviewers are recommending buyers to go with the six, not the eight. The newer vehicle also suffers in the ride area due to the automaker’s decision to fit it with sport suspension. This results in a SUV that is notably less comfortable and stable on the road.
Covered in perforated sued and vinyl, the SUV’s interior is much improved over previous Durango models. Moreover, it continues to have plenty of second-row head and legroom. The base price of the V-8 Durango SUV starts around $39,000. Unfortunately, the Durango is no longer produced in the Newark plant (go here for auto loans in Newark, DE). Production has now been moved to Detroit, Michigan.
